SW landmark Castagna Restaurant s teaming up with Logsdon Farmhouse Ales, Upright Brewery and Oakshire Brewery for its first-ever beer dinner on October 19. The shindig will center around beer inspired dishes.
You'll find goodies like tomatoes with mustard seeds, herbs from the garden and cured beef, pork jowl with molasses, Chinook salmon with cream, eggplant, amaranth, toasted nuts and seeds, and even some ice cream paired with beers. There's even beef that was fed on beer.

East India Co. Grill & Bar invites Portlanders to celebrate Diwali, or the Indian New Year, with a special tasting menu for $22 available October 25-29. The menu will feature traditional dishes to honor this important Hindu festival, also known as the “festival of lights.” Menu highlights include Paneer stuffed ‘Koftas’ in a creamy cashew gravy, a creamy pot roasted chicken, and “Biryani” - a rice dish with marinated vegetables, then spiced with saffron, cardamom, mace and whole black peppers.
