Travel Packages for West Indies, Ireland, California

Published 02/08/2011

(Portland, Oregon) – Some hot deals have popped up on the world travel stage, for Ireland, the West Indies and California. Two of them are romance packages – one of which includes some ways to live out your own version of TV’s The Bachelor or The Bachelorette – while another is a spring break package for families (Above: spa at Jalousie Plantation, in West Indies).

Ashford Castle, Ireland's most historic five-star castle hotel and arguably the Emerald Isle's most romantic destination, is rolling out the red carpet for couples with a special Proposal Package, available now through April 30, 2011.

The package includes:

Two nights bed & breakfast in a Stateroom. Expert advice and dedicated time given to assist in creating the perfect moment and location. His and hers massage treatments. Candlelit table d'hôte dinner in the George V Dining Room on evening of choice. Rose petal turndown service. Glass of Champagne with strawberries and chocolates. Room service Champagne breakfast.

Valid through April 30, 2011, the package is based on double occupancy and is priced at €450 (approximately US$615) per person. For more information, visit: www.ashford.ie.

The Jalousie Plantation – in Val des Pitons, St Lucia, West Indies - has re-launched its popular Wings of Love romance package, which includes activities that encompass some of the island's most famous attractions and is perfect for those with love in their hearts and adventure in their souls.

Inspired by the resort's inclusion in the US reality TV series, The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love, the Wings of Love package allows guests to relive The Bachelor experience with their own Bachelor or Bachelorette.

Rates for the 2011 Wings of Love package start at US$3506 from February 01 to April 30, 2011; from US$3058 May 1 to May 31, 2011; from US$2862 June 1 to October 13, 2011; and US$2856 October 14 to December 15, 2011. Rates are per room and based on double occupancy, and represent a savings of 30 percent.

The Wings of Love package includes the following romantic features:

Four nights in a Luxury Villa with Ocean View, private pool, four poster bed and butler service. Return airport transfers from Hewanorra International Airport. A perfectly chilled bottle of Champagne on arrival. A single long stemmed red rose on arrival. Introductory dive in the crystal waters or our national marine reserve. Sunset cruise with sparkling wine. Gros Piton Explorer Hike. Sulphur Seduction spa treatment for two, including a trip to the Sulphur Springs and volcano and a volcanic mud bath (as seen in The Bachelor). Romantic candlelit dinner on the beach or hotel jetty with a bottle of sparkling wine (subject to weather conditions and venue availability). Breakfast in bed on one morning of your choice. Complimentary room upgrade (subject to availability on arrival).

Additional nights available from US$413 per night room only. All rates are subject to 8% government tax and 10% service charge. Perfect for honeymoon travelers, The Wings of Love package cannot be combined with any other rate special. Package elements cannot be substituted or redeemed for cash credit. Valid for travel up to December 15, 2011.

Olympic Valley, California’s Ski-in, ski-out Resort at Squaw Creek is offering the Spring Family B&B Package, which includes nightly accommodations in a Deluxe Guestroom and breakfast in Six Peaks Grille for up to two adults and two children (ages 12-and-under), starting at $179 per room, per night. The package is available from March 27 through April 24, 2011.

In addition to an outdoor pool and hot tub complex, Resort at Squaw Creek offers the Mountain Buddies Kids Kamp children’s program for ages 4 - 12. Other on-property family activities include dog sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating, sledding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. All outdoor activities are weather and conditions permitting.

The resort also offers the outdoor Chuckwagon “sun deck” venue, which is a popular place for lunch and après ski sun worshippers during the spring months. The deck is located at the base of the Squaw Creek chairlift.
