Toronto Hotel and Restaurant Pair Up for Delicious Packages

Published 03/27/2010

(Toronto, Canada) – The Hôtel Le Germain Toronto and its neighboring Victor Restaurant are creating some waves in the Canadian city with packages for travelers that are delicious in a myriad of ways.

Emerging from winter with plenty of good news, the Hôtel Le Germain Toronto presents a trio of offers for travelers destined for downtown and its cultural hub.

Reservations are now accepted for:

Urban Escapade - $279. A bottle of wine selected by the sommelier at Victor Restaurant is ready in your guest room along with Collection Germain favorites in an eco-souvenir satchel - a signature candle, room fragrance and soap – that doubles as a ready-made souvenir. Following a night of leisure, deluxe continental breakfast is served European-style on the mezzanine level. Check out is extended to 1 pm.

Relax and Rejuvenate - $719. For the hurried and harried or those who covet travel as a restorative treat. Two days begin with breakfast in bed and reach a high point with an in-room couple’s massage by top, tandem therapists. In the spirit of wellness, work in a workout at the 24-hour fitness room or sink a few at the three-hole aerial practice green on the hotel rooftop. A Collection Germain eco-bag of travel inspired home essentials and lingering departure time of 1 pm are also included and leave a lovely, lasting impression.

Flames of Passion - $349. Adore a discreet rendez-vous in a sleek urban setting? Hôtel Le Germain Toronto begins this offer with dinner at Victor Restaurant. A $50 certificate towards dinner is included and valid for months following the time of purchase. A bottle of VQA, Henry of Pelham Cuvée Catherine Brut Sparkling Wine and chocolate covered strawberries are yours to enjoy before or following dinner. Alight your Germain Green Tea and Citrus Candle and explore the contents of a intimacy kit, also provided for your pleasure. Breakfast in bed and enjoy an early afternoon check-out by 1 pm. Valet service and indoor parking are included.

All packages are based on double occupancy, quoted in Canadian currency with taxes and gratuity additional. Offers are subject to change without notice and some restrictions apply. Cancellation policy requires 48 hours’ notice prior to arrival date.

Reserve at https://reservation.germaintoronto.com or by calling 1 866 345 9501.

Right next door to the hotel, Toronto’s Victor Restaurant has created Social 52, a program that offers signature familial dinners downtown nightly - 52 weeks a year - by Chef David Chrystian. The ingredients mirror the Canadian seasons and showcase sustainable, organically sourced ingredients.

The restaurant is adjacent to Hotel Le Germain Toronto in the entertainment district.

The new Social 52 menus bring Chef Chrystian's social dining concept even closer to home - through the city's neighborhood cuisine. Victor Restaurant introduces a daily four-course, prix-fixe feature that corresponds with one of Toronto's magnetic neighborhoods from Christie Pitts to Gerrard East to The Danforth and beyond.

"Each day, a new Toronto destination becomes the Social 52 menu focus," said Chrystian. "On Wednesdays our diners could experience the essence of Gerrard East with lentil soup, butter chicken, spinach, raita, rice and papadum. Sundays, the best of Kensington Market take the showcase spot."

"Meals shared with friends and family in a dynamic social setting is Victor's raison d'être," says director of food and beverage Michael Sullivan. "Each dinner features soups, salads, vegetables, entrees and desserts served family-style with intimacy for couples or with conviviality for larger groups. Today, we welcome guests to embrace this communal cuisine concept through our communities' local favourites."

Menu items vary from day to day, but include tortilla soup, smoked beef brisket, re-fried beans, borscht, perogies, cabbage rolls, braised pork hocks, sausage and kapusta, butter chicken, spinach, raita, rice and papadum, spanakopita, moussaka, Portuguese fish soup, whole roasted fish and veal saltimbocca, among others. The dinners are $45 per person, plus gratuity and tax.
