Resort on Mount Hood Boasts Numerous Summer Events

(Mt. Hood, Oregon) – Now that summer is in full swing, travelers will find an array of activities at and nearby The Resort at The Mountain, located in the western highlands of Mt. Hood and just 45 minutes east of Portland, Oregon. From festivals to winemaker’s dinners, these events embrace and celebrate the beauty – and of course the bounty - of the season.

July 23-24. Estacada Summer Celebration Come celebrate the Estacada area’s wealth of arts with music, dance, performers, a silent auction, art fair, foods and hands-on activities for the whole family. The ArtBack Cooperative will also be painting the mural "Fishing Celilo Falls," by lead artist John Freese.

July 24 and August 21. Winemaker’s Dinners. Bring your appetites and curiosity to The Resort at The Mountain and enjoy a five-course meal with wine pairings. Learn about the unique aspects of winemaking from the winemakers of Oak Knoll winery on July 24 and Archery Summit winery on August 21.

August 21-22. Crawdad Festival. If on your way to Mt. Hood, stop by the Skyway Bar and Grill in Zigzag, Oregon and enjoy live music, a barbecue, crawdads, face painting, a dunk tank, a wheel of fun and lots of prizes. For more information call the Skyway Bar and Grill at (503) 622-3775.

August 27-29. 26th Annual Mt. Hood Huckleberry Festival & Barlow Trail Days. Celebrate Mt. Hood’s natural resources along with Native American and Oregon Trail history. This free festival includes music, arts & crafts, a salmon barbecue, fresh huckleberries, exhibits, tours and storytelling at Mt. Hood Village in Welches, Oregon.

In addition to these special events, The Resort at The Mountain hosts daily recreation and adventure tours as well as weekly activities such as barbecues, treasure hunts and live entertainment.
