(Higuey, Dominican Republic) - The adults-only 255-room all-inclusive Catalonia Royal Bávaro, located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic, is offering couples a whirlwind romantic Valentine’s Day weekend on Friday, February 12 – February 15. The package rate is an all-inclusive $1,150 for three nights and includes accommodations in a Junior Suite Superior, one couples massage, all food and beverage, welcome bottle of sparkling wine, chocolate and fruit amenity and commemorative photo.  Rate includes tax and gratuities and is based on double occupancy and cannot be combined with other offers.

Couples enjoy spacious and comfortable Junior Suite Superior accommodations. The suites feature Caribbean-inspired décor, spacious baths, luxury bedding and linens and amenities.

Valentine’s Day: Sun, Sand and Romance, is going for $1,150, February 12 – 15, 2010. Included is a romantic dinner for two, junior Suite Superior accommodations, and a welcome bottle of sparkling wine elegantly presented in an ice bucket, as well as seasonal fruits with chocolate. There is also live music, a late check-out, a commemorative photo and a couples' massage for 50 minutes.

In addition to a romantic tropical setting the resort offers a host of activities, amenities and services during their stay - such as golf. The resort is within walking distance of two of Punta Cana’s finest golf courses, Catalonia Caribe Golf Club and Catalonia Cabeza de Toro Golf Club.  Both links feature a total of 27 challenging holes filled with picturesque views and gorgeous greens – allowing players to putt in paradise. 

The two courses are in good company as the Dominican Republic was recently named the top “Golf Destination of the Year for the Caribbean and Latin America” by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.  

Catalonia Bávaro Resort also offers swimming pools, Jacuzzi, six themed restaurants featuring Catalonia signature culinary programs that include American, Italian, Japanese and Mexican, along with snack bars.
